Here is our 2025 Recap Video!

The Asian Pacific Cultural Festival is presented by the Asian Culture and Media Alliance (ACMA), a dynamic organization dedicated to promoting and showcasing Asian culture through various forms of media since 2013. Founded on the belief that representation matters, ACMA works tirelessly to amplify the voices and perspectives of the Asian community through film, television, music, and other art forms.

Originally created and produced by Silk Road Productions in 2010, the Asian Cultural Festival of San Diego is now proudly presented by ACMA and continues to grow and evolve each year.

The event started in May 2010 at Liberty Station before historically closing Convoy Street for the first time in its 5th year.  The festival then moved to the Mira Mesa Community Park in 2015.  On May 16, 2026, we will be celebrating our 13th fantastic year of sharing and celebrating Asian and Pacific Islander cultures – in Balboa Park!

This event has been recognized by the US Congress, the California State Assembly, the County of San Diego, and the City of San Diego as an official event in San Diego celebrating Asian Pacific American Heritage Month.

We have included many people of influence and community leaders as part of our event as Honorary Chairs, including Sally Wong-Avery, Mayor Kevin Faulconer, Dr. Lily Cheng, Tom Hom, Councilman Chris Cate, (former) County Supervisor Dave Roberts, Mitz Lee, San Diego Honorary Philippines Consul General, Audie deCastro, and County Supervisor Kristin Gaspar!

This event was created to share, celebrate, promote, educate, and unite the Asian and Pacific Islander communities in San Diego for Asian Pacific American Heritage Month.  This event is open to all people of all backgrounds – and is fun, family-friendly, and FREE!

For the safety and comfort of our guests, the Asian Cultural Festival is a SMOKE-FREE and WEAPONS-FREE event.
